PEI Specialty Chowders

Gourmet Seafood Chowder

Healthy seafood chowder from the waters of Atlantic Canada.

Prince Edward Island—Canada’s smallest province and home of Anne of Green Gables—is renowned for its red soil, beautiful beaches and world-class golf courses.

Everyone that has visited the Island will tell you that although they may have been lured here by a relaxing golf getaway or by that freckled little girl from Lucy Maud Montgomery’s imagination or by the promise of an escape to a “gentler” place, the food is what makes them wish they lived here. While we can’t back up the above claim with any statistics whatsoever, we’re sure there is some truth to it. PEI is a ”foodie’s” dream destination.

We have the best of land and sea with our abundance of seafood, farm-fresh potatoes and other organic produce. You can even find handmade chocolates and wine produced right here on the Island.

Healthy + Gourmet = PEI Specialty Chowder!

An enterprising Island chef by the name of Greg Aitken has spent the last four years developing a product that showcases ingredients from Atlantic Canada, includingclams, scallops, haddock, lobster and mussels. This healthy-choice chowder has a seafood content of 28%, which is substantial when you consider that the industry standard is a mere 7–8%. (Guess those other seafood chowders are really just chunky seafood-flavored milk products!) Our chowder has an high dairy count of 46% with the remaining 26% consisting of vegetables and seasonings.

You’ll be relieved to know that our chowder has absolutely NO trans fats, preservatives or other additives you can’t pronounce. You will not see the words “artificially flavored” anywhere on the label—the flavoring is 100% natural. And it’s low-fat to boot.

What you will get is a delicious, hearty chowder made from an award-winning recipe, which comes in convenient individual “boil-in-a-bag” serving sizes. If you’re a displaced Islander longing for a taste from home, go ahead and order some. We’ll gladly ship it anywhere.Pretty soon, this chowder will be synonymous with Prince Edward Island, just like golf and Anne.Yes, it really is that good.
